Those of us who grew up watching ‘Are you being served?’ in the ’70’s will remember the wonderful department store of Grace Brothers with ‘Young Mr Grace’ the geriatric flirt who owned the place. (Old Mr Grace didn’t get around much any more). There was Mr Humphries, who, I’m sure, would have voted ‘yes’ a few years ago, & of course Mrs Slocombe with her accident prone pet feline, all of them providing a service to the public on the lookout for some new outfits.
However, when you walk into Mark Smiths Menswear, in Murgon, there is no Captain Peacock strutting about keeping everyone in line, nor is there a Miss Brahms painting her nails behind the counter while people are waiting to be served. You won’t get Mr Humphries trying to take an inside leg measurement with his ever present tape measure, (thank goodness!). What you will get is a friendly greeting & some welcomed old fashioned service, which is often only experienced in stores where the owner is the one doing the serving, as is the case at Mark Smith’s Menswear. The astute observer will be aware of the quality brands that are on display in store & may even benefit from some sound advice when selecting an outfit. If, as in my case, there is a need to have clothing altered due to my short legs, Mark is only too happy to have that arranged at a very reasonable cost as well. Overall, as one who has never enjoyed shopping for clothing, or trying anything on, I have found Mark Smith extremely helpful & I am only too happy to recommend Mark Smith’s Menswear for all your clothing needs.
